WUML 91.5 FM Radio Play

Got an exciting email recently from WUML 91.5 located in Lowell, Massachusetts that they would be having the Giza Dream album Letters From Doha in rotation.

Luckily I was able to catch an online stream where they spoke for a minute about the music and played almost half the album!

Video below is from 1/27/2024.

WUML is run by the student body at UMass Lowell and was founded back in 1952.

"Lovingly described as “Where Underground Music Lives”, WUML and its programming place special interest in promoting and celebrating local and up-and-coming artists from all across the world. With weekly programming that showcases new music from a wide range of genres which include indie rock, metal, punk, hip-hop, pop, blues, as well as folk, and others, WUML strives to share and impart a love and appreciation of new and local music with the international listening audience."

They've featured many guests over their decades of operation and run a live sound studio called the Fallout Shelter which has seen notable acts such as The Pixies, Cheech and Chong, Jethro Tull, and Frank Zappa.

I got to spent a few nights streaming and got an eclectic taste of music I probably would have never heard anywhere else. WUML will be in my future arsenal of music discovery for sometime to come!

You can check out their site below which has a live stream and archive of all their broadcasts.
